Direct Supports Professional (DSP)
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) have a fun job. They support amazing people with Down Syndrome, Autism, Seizure d/o etc.
DSPs work at the ABLE day program Monday-Friday. DSPs take our folks bowling, visit museums, libraries & go out to lunch. Sharing smiles and hugs is the best part!
DSPs drive to and from a person’s home and to outings. They support some people in our care with ADLs such as eating and restroom use. DSPs give medications, provide first aid and clean up the messy parts of life. Documenting services is also an important part of the job.
DSPs can learn to provide more specific care and have opportunities to grow in their careers too.
No experience is necessary. We provide training. Requirements include:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have a clean driving record and background check.
• Wages & Hours vary - Benefits are provided to full-time employees. Part-time positions are also available.
